Guess the Character Challenge Brings Books to Life! - National Reading Month
As part of the National Reading Month celebrations, BookGazers, the student library team of Class IX under the Scholastic Internship Programme, organised an exciting "Guess the Character Challenge" for students of Classes VI to VIII in the school library today.
The competition transformed the library into a lively arena of literary excitement as participants raced to identify famous book characters using only three carefully planned clues. The game became progressively easier with each clue, but there was a twist—students earned maximum bonus points for guessing correctly from the very first clue, while incorrect answers attracted negative marks. This unique scoring system made every decision a strategic one and kept the excitement high throughout the contest.
A total of 65 enthusiastic students participated, displaying an impressive knowledge of literature, keen observation, and quick thinking. The challenge witnessed remarkable enthusiasm, with students eagerly analysing every clue before making their guesses.
The entire competition was conceptualised, prepared, and conducted by Aman Rahman, Anna Diya Aby, and Navneeth S, members of BookGazers, with inputs from their team members.. Their creative planning and energetic presentation made the programme a memorable experience for all participants.
Congratulations to the winners:
🏆 Pranay P, VII A - First
🏆 Agmeya P, VIII C - Second
🏆 Sarannath H, VII C and Vaiga Ramesh, VII D - Third
