Champions of Library Treasure Hunt - National Reading Month
As part of the National Reading Month celebrations, the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode Library organised an exciting multi-stage literary challenge, Library Treasure Hunt, that tested students' observation, reasoning, and reading knowledge.
The event was conceptualised and organised by BookGazers, a dedicated team of student library volunteers, as part of the Scholastic Internship Programme. Their creativity and meticulous planning transformed the library into a hub of mystery, excitement, and literary exploration.
A total of 50 students qualified for the first elimination round, where they faced a thrilling series of three literary puzzles. Each team watched short video clips containing carefully designed clues and had to correctly identify the book, the author, and the character being featured.
The challenge was made even more exciting with a negative marking system—every incorrect guess resulted in the loss of points. This encouraged participants to think critically, discuss carefully with their teammates, and answer only when they were confident.
After a closely contested elimination round, the Top 5 teams earned their place in the Grand Finale – the Literary Treasure Hunt. In the final round, participants took on an adventure across the library, solving clues, discovering hidden treasures, and putting their reading skills to the ultimate test.
Congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding effort, and to the winners!
