    India Reading Olympiad – the Reading Decathlon by Food4thought Foundation

    India Reading Olympiad – the Reading Decathlon! Schools from across the country come together to compete in a knowledge-packed quiz competition, demonstrating the power of reading and comprehension and fight for the title “I ‘M Greatest Reader”

    Classes 9th to 12th  any 2 participants compete with 200 questions to be answered in 8 hrs, 10 multiple rounds and each round consists of 20 questions (multiple choice ).The rounds are based on different forms of Reading Intensive, Extensive, Skimming,Scanning etc.

    SRIRAM P R, XI A represented our Vidyalaya in the Reading Decathlon 2023. The school team for this year will be selected next week.  Students interested to be a part of the team may register now by filling the Google Form. Last date for registration is 12 November 2024.





    Food 4 Thought Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established with the aim of sparking a ‘Reading Revolution.’ Over the past eight years, the foundation has opened and operates over 620 libraries across 22 states, providing access to over 1,53,000 books in schools, jails, and hospitals.

    Focusing on the theme of access to books, the foundation addresses the need for books in rural and urban India alike. In urban areas where books are abundant but distractions prevail, the foundation introduces innovative themes such as Audio stories (Save Endangered Stories) and the Reading Decathlon. Recognized for its services, the foundation received accolades from the office of India’s Vice President in 2019 as part of the Vision of Antyodaya. Additionally, it was awarded the Most Trusted and Transparent NGO by The Asian Leadership Awards in Dubai in 2022.
