Librarian Selected for Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching 2022

 Mr. Mujib Rahiman K U, Librarian Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode has been selected for the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers for 2021-22 with distinction of being the first school librarian from India to be selected for this prestigious award.

The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for international teachers (Fulbright DAI) is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State. This year, the U.S government has announced the name of 45 teachers globally for this prestigious award. Selected international participants will be placed at a U.S. host university School of Education from August 2022 to December 2022. The program will provide with a unique opportunity to develop greater expertise in their subject areas. Mr. Mujib Rahiman will get an opportunity to take up an inquiry project on “Libraries as learning and maker spaces” under the host university.

Mr. Mujib Rahiman had recently won the NCERT National Award for Innovative Practices and Experiments in Education and also won the 3rd India Reading Olympiad "Reading for Pleasure" School Award 2021.
