Nurturing Young Readers – Primary Students Honoured with Best Reader Awards 2025–26

 The academic session 2025–26 marked a significant milestone in the library initiatives of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode, as book borrowing facilities were extended to primary students of Classes IV and V. This initiative opened new avenues for young learners to explore the world of books, and the response from students was truly encouraging.

With enthusiastic participation, a large number of primary students actively utilized the library services, developing early reading habits and showing remarkable interest in maintaining their library notebooks with care and consistency.

In recognition of this growing engagement, the school proudly instituted the Best Reader Awards for the Primary Section from this academic year. These awards aim to encourage young readers and acknowledge their efforts in:

• Regular library usage
• Responsible handling of books
• Neat and consistent maintenance of library notebooks

The awards were presented during the Annual Day Celebrations on 6 April 2026 by P N Unnikrishnan, Chairman Nominee, VMC. The young achievers were honoured with books and certificates, celebrating their early journey into the world of reading.
