Single Girl Child Fee Concession in Kendriya Vidyalayas
The Single Girl Child (SGC) fee exemption facility is applicable only for students studying from Class VI onwards and only for those not availing Child Education Allowance (CEA).
Parents are requested to carefully read the following instructions regarding submission of the SGC affidavit and fee exemption process.
Eligibility for CEA
Most Central Government employees under Category I (except Ex-Servicemen) and certain departments under Category II are eligible for Child Education Allowance (CEA). Such students are not eligible for SGC fee exemption.
Important Instructions for Parents
1. Submission Deadline for SGC Affidavit
Parents of students studying in Class VI and above (2026–27) were already informed to submit the SGC affidavit on or before March 25, 2026.
2. Affidavit Submitted Before March 25, 2026
If the affidavit was submitted before the deadline:
- The exemption has already been updated in the fee portal.
- Eligible students have been exempted from fees accordingly.
3. Affidavit Submitted but Exemption Not Reflected in UBI Portal
If the affidavit was submitted before March 25, 2026, but the exemption is not visible in the UBI fee portal:
Parents are requested to pay the fees temporarily.
Kindly meet the concerned office authority at the earliest for verification and correction.
4. Late Submission of Affidavit
If the affidavit was not submitted before March 25, 2026:
Parents may still submit the affidavit before June 15, 2026.
However, the first quarter fee must be paid.
This amount will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
5. Annual Submission Mandatory
To continue availing the SGC exemption:
Parents must submit the SGC affidavit every year.
The affidavit should reach the office before March 25 each academic year.
