A Night Under the Stars: Astronomy & Stargazing Session

The Astronomy Club of IIT Palakkad organised an Introductory Interactive Session on Astronomy followed by a Stargazing Programme for the selected students of Class VII and VIII on 25 February 2025 at IIT Palakkad. 54 students participated in the event.

An Engaging Start

The session began with an interactive introduction to the fascinating world of astronomy. Students eagerly explored topics such as constellations, planets, the phases of the Moon, and the importance of observational science. Their enthusiasm was evident in the way they actively participated, asking questions and responding to the questions by the presenters. 

Stargazing Despite the Odds

Though the weather was not entirely favourable, they could watch the night sky. Through the telescopes, students had the opportunity to observe celestial objects and experience firsthand the beauty of the night sky.
