Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released its official admission schedule, outlining important dates and procedures for various classes.

• Online Registration Begins:
  20 March 2026 (10:00 AM onwards)
• Last Date for Registration (Class I & Balvatika):
  02 April 2026

Admissions for Balvatika & Class I

Registration Process

• Conducted online only
• Applies to:
  • Balvatika-1 & 3 (selected KVs)
  • Class I (all KVs)

Provisional Lists

• 1st List:
  • Balvatika: 08 April 2026
  • Class I: 09 April 2026
• 2nd List (if seats remain): 16 April 2026
• 3rd List (if needed): 21 April 2026

Admission Priority Order

1. RTE (Right to Education)
2. Service Category I & II
3. Remaining reserved seats

2. Offline Registration

Extended date for the second notification for offline registrations under RTE provisions, SC, ST and OBC (NCL), if sufficient applications were not received online for Balvatika-1, 3 and Class I.

• Notification: 21 April 2026
• Registration: 22–26 April 2026
• Admission Process: 27–30 April 2026

3. Admissions for Class II and Above

Registration (Offline)

• 02 April – 08 April 2026
• Subject to availability of vacancies (Currently no vacancies in PM SHRI KV Kanjikode)

Important Dates

• List Declaration: 13 April 2026
• Admissions: 15–20 April 2026

4. Final Admission Deadlines

• All Classes (Except XI):
  30 June 2026
• Extended Deadline (if seats vacant):
  31 July 2026 (with special permission)

Note: There is no registration fee.

6. Age Criteria for Admission

The date of birth of the child must fall within the prescribed age limit for the class applied for, as per KVS Admission Guidelines. Age is calculated as on 01-04-2026. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for CwSN candidates as per rules.

Reservation of seats will be as per KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27.

7. General Instructions

• Admission & registration details for Balvatika-2, Class II & above will be available on respective KV websites.
• Admission will be cancelled if incorrect information is submitted.
• Parents should contact the school only when called, within the given time slot.
