Author Meet with Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award Winner Nandini Menon & Book Release by Young Author Pihu

Readers' Club, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode is delighted to announce a special literary event as part of the National Reading Month Celebrations 2026. The Readers' Club is organizing an inspiring Author Meet with renowned Malayalam writer Nandini Menon, providing students with a unique opportunity to interact with an accomplished author and traveller.

Meet the Author – Nandini Menon

Nandini Menon, a native of Palakkad and currently residing in Visakhapatnam, is an acclaimed traveller and writer whose works beautifully capture the essence of people, places, and cultures. Her travel narratives have received widespread appreciation for their vivid storytelling and deep human insights.

Awards and Recognition

Her celebrated travelogue Aamcho Bastar received the prestigious Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award (2023). The book has also earned several distinguished honours, including:

During the interactive session, students will have the opportunity to learn about her literary journey, the art of travel writing, and the experiences that inspired her award-winning works. The session is expected to encourage young readers to cultivate a love for books, exploration, and creative expression.

Special Book Release

Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Chief Guest will officially release "The Rainbow of Lessons", a book written by our budding young author Pihu (Anjli Ramesh) of Class III A, during the Morning Assembly.
