Ready for the New School Year? Submit Your Library Notebook to Get Your Library Card!
As the new school session begins, we are excited to welcome all students back to school and to the library! To help you make the most of our wonderful library resources, there is an important step you must complete before you can start borrowing books.
Library Notebook Submission: Your Key to a Library Card
Every student must submit a king-size notebook with a minimum of 100 pages, covered neatly in brown paper. This notebook will serve as your official library notebook and will help you track your reading journey throughout the year.
Important Guidelines for Your Library Notebook:
-
Do not paste any name slips or labels on the notebook cover, this will be provided by the library. Do not write your name or anything else on the cover.
-
On the index page, clearly write your name, class and section, and admission number.
-
If you have already prepared a notebook for the Summer Reading Challenge 2025, you can continue using it as your library notebook — but please make sure it is king size.
Why is the library notebook important?
Your library notebook is not just a requirement; it is your personal reading record, a place where you can jot down book titles, summaries, reflections, creative works and notes about your reading experiences. It will encourage you to build strong reading habits and stay organized.
For every entry, note, or summary you write in your library notebook, you will earn Library Reward Points. These points will recognize your reading efforts and encourage you to explore more books and ideas. The more detailed and thoughtful your notes, the more points you earn!
No Library Card Without Notebook Submission
Remember, you will only be issued your library card after submitting your completed notebook. Without the library card, you won’t be able to borrow any books, so make sure to bring your notebook as soon as school reopens!
Looking forward to seeing you in the library and helping you embark on another exciting year of reading adventures. Happy reading!
