Library Reorganisation and Labelling – Volunteers Welcome!

The school library at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode is preparing for an exciting transformation this academic session! With the arrival of new bookshelves, we are undertaking a major reorganisation and relabelling of the library to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. This task is scheduled for this week, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Why is this Reorganisation Important?

1. Better Accessibility
   With new shelves in place, books can be grouped more effectively by genre, subject, and reading level, making it easier for students to find what they need.

2. Improved Space Utilisation
   Rearranging furniture and collections will allow us to create a more welcoming and student-friendly reading environment.

3. Updated Labelling System
   Clear, consistent labelling across all shelves will improve navigation and reduce time spent searching for resources.

4. Support for Curriculum Goals
   Organised collections help integrate the library more closely with classroom learning, NEP 2020 objectives, and encourage independent reading.

5. Ownership and Responsibility
   Inviting students to help in the process builds a sense of belonging and encourages them to take pride in their shared learning space.

🙋‍♂️ How Can You Help?

We’re inviting student volunteers to assist the librarian in:

• Shifting and organising books

• Labelling shelves

• Dusting and preparing the space for the new session

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
📍 Venue: School Library

If you're interested in being part of this initiative, please inform the librarian in advance and report to the library on the mentioned dates.

If more students show interest, we will inform you the date and time as per your convenience. Only report on the given date and time.
