Summer Reading Challenge 2024
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode is organising a Summer Reading Challenge for the students of Class III to XII.
The reading Challenge is a part of the Lannguage Activity for the Summer Vacation, designed to promote reading , which, in turn, will enhance your other skills related to Reading.
All the students are requested to be a part of the Reading Challenge
Only the students who are participating in the competiton need to submit their diary and entry to the library. Others should submit it to the language teachers. This will be treated as an SEA ( Subject Enrichment Activity)
You will have to read minimum three books during the summer vacation and prepare a reading diary to participate in the event. You can make use of a notebook for this purpsose. Include English, Hindi and Sanskrit books in your reading list. A list of suggested books is provided (see the link below). You can select books from the list or select books of your choice.
Read magazines and newspapers and make entries of your reading experience in the diary.
The students will post brief reviews, notes on the books in the padlets provided on the library website regularly. You can also post your reading selfies or other photographs, drawings etc. The Padlet entries will be given prizes based on the frequency and creativity.
You can submit your Reading Diary once the school reopens. No need to upload or mail scanned copies.
Only the students who wish to be a part of the competition will have to prepare an additional Reading Competition entry.
You can select any one book of your reading level to prepare the Reading Competition entry. When you are ready for the competition and decided the book you wish to submit for the competition, you have to register on for the competition.
