Dhai Akshar Letter Writing Campaign

 As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of Posts is organising 'Dhai Akshar Letter Writing Campaign'. This is an important initiative of the department to connect with younger generation and to develop the hobby of letter writing among the children. Class teachers are requested to ensure maximum participation from the children.

*Details of the campaign:*

Theme: *" Vision for India 1947"*

Language: *English/ Hindi /Local Language.*

*Only handwritten letters will be accepted.*

The letters should be addressed to: *The Chief Postmaster General, Kerala Circle, Thiruvananthapuram 695 033.*

CATEGORIES AND WORD LIMIT

Classes 6 to 8 can write a letter of 500 words in an Inland Letter.

Classes 9 to 12 can write the letter (1000 words) in an A4 size paper and enclose it in an envelope.

The participants have to give a certificate of proof of their age on the letter such as 

" I CERTIFY THAT I AM BELOW/ ABOVE THE AGE OF 18 AS on 01/01/22".

In the case of winning letters, the age and other Id certificates are to be produced by the winner and the same should be verified by the Postal Authority.

PRIZES

Prize to be given to the winners in each category at the Kerala Circle Level.

First prize : Rs.25000/

Second prize: Rs.10000/

Third prize: Rs. 5000/

The *interested students are requested to give their names to the class teachers latest by tomorrow.* (23/10/22)

*Please note: The school  will be arranging the  inland letters and post cards for letter writing once we get the number of participants.*
