Folklore Fest Video Released by Sh. Santhosh Kumar, AC KVS Ernaklam Region

Shri. Santhosh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Ernakulam released the videos of the Folklore Fest organised in the Vidyalaya in December 2021.

A folk lore fest was conducted in the Vidyalaya in the month of December, under the expert guidance of our Principal sir , Shri Viswanathan K and our Music Master Shri Narayanan R, with an aim to tap the creative talents of children. The students were deprived of all sorts of cultural activities during the pandemic times, so an initiative was taken to provide them an opportunity to showcase their talents. The first phase of the fest was conducted on 22nd December 2021 and included four major Art Forms of Kerala namely Kalamezuthupattu, Margam kali, Parichimuttukali and Tiruvathirakali.

The students were trained under experts for two weeks. The teachers of the Vidyalaya came forward to train the students for these items whereas for Parichimuttu kali ,we had the good fortune of having an exponent in this field,Panamanna Muthu asan.

The programme was a huge success and was applauded by the Higher ups. The Video was released by our honourable Assistant Commissioner Shri. Santoah Kumar who visited our school on 10 February 2022 as part of the Annual Inspection.
