Bharat Scouts and Guides Flag Day Celebrated

The Foundation cum flag day was celebrated on 7 th November 2019 by the Department of scouts and guides in a very befitting way, as per the guide line given by BSG KVS State.

In morning assembly Principal incharge Mrs. Anitha G addressed the scouts and guides and inauguratedthe ceremony by distributing stickers to teachers and students. Madam inspired the students about the necessity of joing the movement.

HWB Guide Captain of the vidyalaya, S Santha gave a short speech on the importance of Flag Day. It was followed by a special programme, a talk about the importance of the movement by a Guide, Vaishnavi of Class 9 C and a Flock, Jyoshna of class IV D.

A rally was conducted upto umminikulam. At 10.30 AM all scouts and guides, Guide captains and Scout masters visited Early Cancer Detection Centre, Kanjikode. Stamps were distributed to Dr. Rekha, Medical Officer, ECDC Kanjikode, Palakkad and to other staff members and they contributed the money.

The stamps were distributed to students on the payment of Rs. 10.

A total of Rs. 2130 was raised for the movement which was send to the KVS Regional Fund.

The celebration was led by HWB Guide Captain, S. Santha, Pre Alt Scout Master Abdul Shumz, Scout Masters Mr. Amol (Advanced), Mr. K. Sivadas (Advanced) and Guide captains Ammu Chungath (Advanced), Durga Lakshmi (Basic), Aswathi (Basic), Neha Choudhary (Basic)and Shalini (Basic).
