Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) Campaign at KV Kanjikode

The Swachhta Action Plan Team visited the Vidyalaya today on 23.07.2018 as part of their initiative to create social awareness on sanitation and cleanliness among the students.

Student of classes 8, 9 and 11 attended the programme. The programme coordinator Mr. Naseem and Mr. Nithin under the able guidance of Dr. B Swajan, Co-ordinator, SAP organized the painting, slogan writing and quiz competitions for the students in the first session.

A nukkad natak sensitizing the students about being aware of spreading the messages of cleanliness in and around their surroundings both at school and at home, was presented by a local troupe. The presentation was both entertaining and informative.

It was followed by formal inauguration of the programme by Mr. Santosh Lal, A R, Dty. Director, Department of Tourism, Kerala. The guest speakers delivered felicitations. Then Mr. Jijesh Kumar, Asst. Professor, Gems College, Perinthalmanna delivered an informative and motivational speech on the importance of cleanliness and how to manage waste.

The prizes to the winners were distributed by the chief guest. Mr. Subramanian, Vice Principal addressed the gathering and administered the Swachhta Pledge. The students also gave the feedback.

Mrs. Rugmini Menon, TGT English proposed vote of thanks.

The 500 students who participated in the programme were given snacks and gifts before they left for their respective classes.

The programme was well organized and the message was driven home very effectively through the different presentations that were put up on the stage. The students responded actively to all the question that were thrown towards them. They left the venue fully geared up to take the responsibility entrusted to them in its true spirit.
