      3rd International Day of Yoga

      Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode celebrated 3rd International Day of Yoga with special Yoga Demonstration in the morning assembly. Mrs. K Rajeswari, Principal addressed the students and informed them the importance of Yoga and urged the students to practice yoga daily for their mental and physical fitness. Mr. Sivadasan, Yoga Coach talked about the International Day of Yoga and the international recognition yoga received in the recent years.
      The programme was followed by a inter-house Yoga Competition for the secondary students. The students from the four houses enthusiastically participated in the group and individual competitions. Tilak House bagged first position in both group and individual events, Gandhi House came second and Nehru house secured third position.
      Mr. Subramanian, Vice Principal addressed the gathering stressing the importance of yoga for students and staff members.
