PeerSpark: A Student Led Mentoring Series
PeerSpark is a library-based student mentoring initiative where senior students conduct sessions for junior classes on a wide range of subjects and topics. These sessions will take place during library substitution periods, transforming the library into a vibrant hub of knowledge exchange, leadership development, and peer connection.
The program
aims to tap into the talents of senior students, giving
them a platform to lead, mentor, and inspire, while providing juniors with
relatable role models and fresh perspectives.
Purpose of the
Program
- To create a peer-driven learning environment where students can share knowledge, ideas, and skills beyond the regular curriculum.
- To make productive use of library substitution periods for both academic and personal growth.
- To strengthen the library’s role as a dynamic learning space and leadership incubator
- Develop confidence and public speaking skills in student mentors.
- Encourage active participation from juniors in interactive sessions.
- Strengthen student-to-student bonds across grades.
- Provide a structured platform for leadership development.
- Enable mentors to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging content.
- Encourage juniors to apply what they learn from these sessions in academics and life.
The first session in the series is scheduled to be held on 13 August 2025 for Class VI-VII.
