Robotics Unleashed: A Five-Day Journey into Innovation and Automation

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode successfully organized a five-day Robotics Workshop from 24-28 March 2025, aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in robotics and automation. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Inker Robotics, Thrissur as part of PM SHRI activities and was coordinated by the Librarian. 50 students from Classes 5 to 8 participated in the workshop.

The workshop commenced with an introductory session on robotics, covering its history, applications, and future scope. Students were introduced to the fundamental components of robots, including motors, sensors, and microcontrollers.

Participants learned basic programming concepts using platforms like Arduino. They explored simple electronic circuits and tested LED blinking and motor control programs. Students worked in teams to assemble basic robotic models. They learned about different types of robotic movements and how to control them using programmed instructions.

Certificates and gifts were given away by Mr. S Harilal, Principal.

The workshop successfully ignited curiosity and enthusiasm among students about robotics and automation. Many participants expressed keen interest in exploring advanced robotics and participating in future competitions. 

As part of the Digital Library, the school library has setup a section for the students to explore coding and hands-on robotics.
