The Magic of Reading: Readers' Club Virtual Interaction with an Inspiring Librarian

The Readers Club had a wonderful opportunity today to interact with Mr. Binoy Mathew, Librarian Valapattanam Panchayat Library, whose passion for books and sustainable practices brought the students into his world of reading and innovation.

Over the course of more than an hour, Mr. Binoy shared captivating stories about his library’s initiatives, designed to make reading accessible and engaging for children and adults alike. He gave students a vivid picture of his library, highlighting its focus its green practices, and engaging activities tailored for young readers. The students were eager to ask questions, and Mr. Binoy answered with patience and insight, addressing topics like green libraries, the importance of digital resources, best books and authors, and the joys of exploring diverse genres.

This engaging session left our students excited to explore more books and inspired to participate in activities that can make reading a lifelong habit. Through Mr. Binoy’s innovative approaches, the students discovered new ways a library can support and nurture their love for reading.
