Child scientists may undertake a project under any of the sub-themes, while they are at home. The experimental part, wherever possible can be carried out at home or around, but without getting exposed to the infection. Projects based on survey, observations and case studies may be considered, only if the participants are unable carry out any experimental work, which otherwise require laboratory facilities as available in schools, or in research institutes or the likes.
    District level CSC
Taking a cue from the present method of imparting education through online mode, district level CSC can also be conducted using online platforms. In the process, child scientists can send a copy of the synopsis of their project through e-mail to the district  coordinator. Children can either present their project online or can submit video of minimum 3 minutes or maximum upto 8 minutes. 4 posters as 4 slides or poster itself can be used during presentation. A word of caution; the organization of activity or event must adhere to the guidelines issued by the competent authorities of the respective district or state. For any untoward incidence or event existinguality occurring would be the sole responsibility of the district or state coordinator; the organizer of that activity or event.

    Number of selected projects
As per the existing guidelines and norms, The selection of the project shall be regulated at 5 projects for the first 20 projects and thereafter one project for every next 10 projects. The district level selection ratio of lower age group to upper age group of students should be 40:60 by considering overall projects presented and maintaining the quality of projects. The ratio of selected projects from district to state level, ratios related to the junior and senior groups, rural and urban, or any other as the case may be, to be relaxed during current year.

Soft copies of the Project Report of the selected projects from the district level may be sent through e-mail to the state  coordinator, who in turn would get the same assessed by the panel of evaluators.
