    Painting and Essay Writing Competition for Students

    The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is observing Swachhata Pakhwada from 16 - 30 Sep 2020 and is also celebrating the World Tourism Day and Paryatan Parv from 27 – 30 Sep, 2020. In this context, the India tourism Kochi office proposes to organize competitions for the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya schools under Ernakulam Region, through digital mode (due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Please find attached a letter regarding the same. The competitions are as mentioned below:-

    Of the destinations you have visited in India, what is your most favourite and what makes it special? Does the destination lack in terms of tourist facilities? If yes, in what way can it be developed into a tourist friendly destination?


    Each school may please send a maximum of two best entries in each category in digital format, mentioning the student name, Class, Division, School and Cluster, on the painting / essay. There will be three prize categories (1st, 2nd and 3rd), for each cluster of Kendriya Vidyalaya (6 Clusters). The students from each cluster will be honored with prizes by Indiatourism Kochi. Submit your entries to the coordinator of your Vidyalaya. 

     Essay should be in English and with a word limit of a Maximum of 500 words. The campaign that the Ministry is promoting is titled, Dekho Apna Desh. The theme for the Essay is "Of the destinations you have visited in India, what is your most favourite and what makes it special? Does the destination lack in terms of tourist facilities? If yes, in what way can it be developed into a tourist friendly destination?"
