KVS Foundation Day Celebrated

The 56th Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode on 13th December in lieu of 15th December being a Sunday.

The chief guest of the occasion, Shri. K. Unnikrishnan, Hon. Pudussery Grama Panchayat President hoisted the flag. The special guest of the day was M. Sreesankar, an athlete of international repute and an alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode. The Principal –in-charge, Shri. K. Viswanathan welcomed the gathering.

The chief guest, in his speech, said that it was a matter of great pride that Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode had produced such exemplary results in the board exams of the previous year.

Shri. Sreesankar addressed the students and lauded the efforts of the teachers of the Vidyalaya in shaping his personality. He said that the brand name of KV had a great value and wherever he went in India , he was known as a ‘KV product’.

The Principal –in-charge, Shri. K. Viswanathan appreciated and congratulated Mrs. Sasikala PRT and Headmistress-in-charge on receiving the Regional Incentive Award and Mr. Mujib Rahiman K  U for the KVS National Innovation & Experimentation Award for the year 2019.

The teachers who had once been KV students and now are serving KVS , their parent organization were appreciated in the function.

This was followed by a colourful cultural programme by the students of the primary and secondary and senior secondary sections.

After the cultural programme, an interhouse  quiz competition on  KVS was conducted in the Multipurpose Hall by Mrs. Rugmini Menon TGT – English.
