KAMP-National Assessment for Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA)
In today’s fast-paced world, academic success alone does not guarantee professional excellence. To truly thrive, students need a combination of cognitive abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific temperament. This is where Knowledge & Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP) steps in with a revolutionary initiative — the National Assessment of Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA).
What is KAMP?
Knowledge & Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP) is an initiative developed with the support of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) – National Institute of Science Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS). It aims to foster scientific temper and map the awareness levels of students in India through structured assessments.
Introducing NASTA
The National Assessment of Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA) is KAMP’s flagship assessment designed to evaluate and enhance a student’s potential. Unlike conventional exams, NASTA goes beyond textbook knowledge. It uncovers a student's innate skills and capabilities that are vital for success in future academic and professional journeys.
Key Objectives of NASTA:
-
Identify students' strengths and hidden talents.
-
Enhance problem-solving and cognitive skills.
-
Provide actionable insights for parents, teachers, and schools.
-
Encourage early development of scientific temperament.
8 Core Parameters of NASTA
NASTA evaluates students on the following eight well-defined parameters:
-
Scientific Aptitude
-
Analytical Thinking
-
Creativity & Innovation
-
Communication Skills
-
Critical Thinking
-
Numerical Ability

-

Each parameter is carefully structured to offer a 360-degree view of a student’s skills, habits of mind, and future potential.
