KAMP-National Assessment for Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA)

Unlock Your Child’s True Potential with KAMP’s NASTA Assessment

In today’s fast-paced world, academic success alone does not guarantee professional excellence. To truly thrive, students need a combination of cognitive abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific temperament. This is where Knowledge & Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP) steps in with a revolutionary initiative — the National Assessment of Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA).

    What is KAMP?

Knowledge & Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP) is an initiative developed with the support of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) – National Institute of Science Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS). It aims to foster scientific temper and map the awareness levels of students in India through structured assessments.

    Introducing NASTA

The National Assessment of Scientific Temperament & Aptitude (NASTA) is KAMP’s flagship assessment designed to evaluate and enhance a student’s potential. Unlike conventional exams, NASTA goes beyond textbook knowledge. It uncovers a student's innate skills and capabilities that are vital for success in future academic and professional journeys.

    Key Objectives of NASTA:

    • Identify students' strengths and hidden talents.

    • Enhance problem-solving and cognitive skills.

    • Provide actionable insights for parents, teachers, and schools.

    • Encourage early development of scientific temperament.

    8 Core Parameters of NASTA

NASTA evaluates students on the following eight well-defined parameters:

    1. Scientific Aptitude

    2. Analytical Thinking

    3. Creativity & Innovation

    4. Communication Skills

    5. Critical Thinking

    6. Numerical Ability

    7. Environmental Awareness

    8. Technology Awareness

Each parameter is carefully structured to offer a 360-degree view of a student’s skills, habits of mind, and future potential.

    Benefits of Taking NASTA

    • Personalized Assessment Report: Receive detailed feedback on each parameter along with recommendations.

    • Skill Mapping: Identify strengths and areas needing improvement.

    • Career Guidance: Early insights into potential career paths based on aptitude.

    • National Recognition: Top-performing students receive certificates, awards, and recognition at the national level.

    • Improved Learning Outcomes: Tailored strategies to help students develop skills that matter.

Participation in KAMP provides students with access to the following activities for one year:
Engage in 24 online fortnightly workshops and sessions.
Join scientific excursions to CSIR labs, ISRO, and other prestigious research institutions in India.
Receive awards and certificates for NASTA achievements.
Participate in national and state-level science festivals and events across India.
**Learn robotics and AI curriculum through the KAMP - Centre of Excellence (CoE) program in schools.
** A Robotics and AI Lab is being set up exclusively in schools that are part of the KAMP - Centre of Excellence (CoE) program.
