ANYONYAM - Video CD Released

Mr. M.B Rajesh, Honourable Member of Parliament released the Video CD ANYONYAM : a compilation of National Anthems of 34 countries sung by the students of KV Kanjikode at function organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode on 20.01.2015.

The project was initiated by Mrs. Leena Mukundan, TGT Social Science as an effort to promote universal brotherhood and international peace. The CD contains national anthems of India and 33 other nations which includes Australia, Srilanka, Great Britain, United States of America, Spain, Japan and South Africa to name a few.

The efforts of the three students, Nimisha, Aparna and Anjitha have culminated into the release of this CD, the first of its kind in the student community. Mr.  Mujib Rahiman, Librarian gave the technical support for the video editing. Nirupam and Abhijith of class X C, under the able guidance of Mujib, worked long hours for days together to import the videos, mixing the clippings matching for the audio.

Releasing the CD Mr. M.B Rajesh pointed out that this may be the first effort of its kind and stressed the importance of spreading the concept of universal brotherhood and international peace in today's violence-ridden world. He appreciated the innovative initiative taken by Mrs. Leena and her group of students and wished that the message will reach the masses.

Mrs. Leena said that it is her tenure as a teacher in KV Tehran that motivated her to take up the project to spread the message of international understanding and universal brotherhood through the students. They being the future citizens will be the real torch bearers. The project aims to spread the message of love, understanding and acceptance forgetting ones religion or nationality influenced by the Indian Philosophy of "Vasudevakutumbakam" and "Lokasamastha sukhinobhavanthu".

Mrs. Leena said that the initiative will continue with the students learning national anthems of the remaining nations.  Making the students the true ambassadors Global Peace, Universal Brotherhood and   of International understanding is the ultimate aim of the project. The songs will be made available to the public soon through the blog being hosted by the Vidyalaya.
