International Day of Yoga Celebration

The Vidyalaya celebrated International Day of Yoga today. Chief Guest, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Yogacharya and Trustee, Sadguru Yogashram, Vilayodi, Chittur inaugurated the celebration by lighting the ceremonial lamp at 08:30 am.

It was followed by a demonstration of Yoga by the selected students of class VI-X. They have demonstrated various pranayama and yogasanas under the guidance of the Yoga Coach.

In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest stressed the importance of Yoga and urged the students to practice yoga daily. He advised every one to follow our culture and regularly do yogasana to be healthy and energetic.

After the inaugural session, all the students from primary to senior secondary level practised yoga in the multipurpose hall.

Debate competition for the students was organised in the LCD Room and essay writing competition was organised in the library in the afternoon.
