National Education Day Celebration

The National Education Day was celebrated in the Morning Assembly on 12 November, 2015, as 11 November, 2015 was a holiday on account of Diwali. The students of class X D were the ones who had been assigned the duty of conducting the Morning Assembly.

The Assembly Programme started with the compering, before which the famous words on education of the Late Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad were quoted - Teaching by tongue can be perspired but by good deed can stay stronger. The Thought for the Day- Education imparted by heart can bring revolution in the society- was also yet another quote of the great visionary.

The Special Programme for the Day stressed on the need for education for the Development of the Nation. The students enacted a short story written by Shri Radhakrishna Sayee, which conveyed the message that an underdeveloped or an illiterate society can be transformed into a developed one just by spreading the light of education all around. At the end of the enactment, students held placards highlighting the importance of education from different angles- ‘NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND’, ‘EVERY CHILD TO SCHOOL’, ‘NO CHILD AT WORK’, ‘EDUCATE A GIRL CHILD, AND YOU EDUCATE A SOCIETY’...
